Spider Control in Frisco
Inspection-Based Spider Control for Frisco Properties
Spider activity can be difficult to assess from sightings alone. At Adams Exterminating - Lewisville, we inspect your home or business for active spiders, webs, hiding areas, and potential entry points before developing a treatment plan for the property.
Our trained entomologists and licensed service technicians understand pests common to North Texas properties. We serve the entire Frisco area and address spiders through our residential and commercial pest-control work.

Recognizing Texas’s Medically Significant Spiders
Correct identification helps determine which property conditions need attention. Texas has two species considered medically significant, meaning their bites can cause serious health effects: black widow spiders and brown recluse spiders. Both can be found indoors and outdoors throughout the state.
Black Widow Spiders
Females are jet black with a globular abdomen. Their most recognizable feature is a reddish or yellowish hourglass marking on the underside.
They aren’t aggressive, but they may bite if trapped, disturbed, or threatened. Note their webs and sheltered hiding places during a property inspection rather than handling the spiders directly.
Brown Recluse Spiders
This species is golden brown with a dark brown to black, fiddle-shaped pattern on the head region. These spiders commonly hide in dark, undisturbed spaces, so an infestation can be difficult to recognize from occasional sightings alone.
Common hiding places include:
- Basements and garages.
- Boxes and other stored materials.
- Stored clothing and towels.
- Spaces between boards.
These spiders also aren’t naturally aggressive. Bites generally occur when one is pressed against skin, trapped, or disturbed. If you find either type, avoid handling it and arrange a closer inspection of the property.
Our Frisco Spider-Control Inspection & Treatment Planning
Every service begins with a thorough inspection. We assess visible activity and property conditions before recommending treatment instead of assuming the same approach fits every home or commercial building.
Our inspection-to-plan process focuses on:
- Current activity: We look for spiders, webs, and signs of recurring activity.
- Shelter areas: We assess locations where spiders may remain undisturbed.
- Potential access: We consider entry points that may allow spiders into the structure.
- Property conditions: We use the inspection findings to customize our recommendations.
After evaluating the property, we explain our recommendations and the proposed scope of service. This approach allows us to address the conditions found during the inspection.
When products are included in a treatment plan, we use EPA-approved products from established manufacturers. Our service programs follow guidelines from the Environmental Protection Agency and the Texas Department of Agriculture.
Experience Serving North Texas Properties Since 1947
Virgil H. Adams founded our company in 1947. Four generations later, we remain locally owned and operated, bringing long-standing knowledge of North Texas pest behavior to each inspection.
More than 10,000 homes and businesses across the region have trusted us for general pest, termite, and mosquito control. That experience informs our approach whether you have found one suspicious spider or are seeing webs repeatedly around your property.
Practical Ways to Help Prevent Spiders
Professional treatment can address current concerns, while routine household and exterior maintenance can reduce the shelter and access points spiders use. These steps also make continued activity easier to spot between inspections.
Spider-prevention measures we recommend include:
- Reduce indoor clutter: Keep rooms, garages, and storage spaces clean and clutter-free to limit undisturbed hiding areas.
- Seal entry points: Close accessible gaps around the home that spiders may use to enter.
- Maintain exterior areas: Include regular outdoor maintenance in your ongoing prevention routine.
- Review exterior lighting: Consider lighting conditions when assessing areas where webs and spider activity recur.
- Remove webs regularly: Check around the home for webs and remove them so new activity is easier to monitor.
If webs quickly return or spiders continue appearing indoors, a professional inspection can uncover conditions that routine cleaning may not reveal. We can also discuss active pest problems and year-round prevention based on what we find.
