Why Rodent Infestations In Frisco Are Best Left To The Professionals

Rodents may seem cute and furry to some, while others think the absolute opposite. Either way, there’s one thing we should all agree on - they do not belong in our Frisco homes!

Rodents can cause an array of problems. Contaminating food and leaving their droppings in dresser drawers is not fun for anyone to experience. Eliminating rodents on your own can be difficult and even dangerous. Unfortunately, many at-home treatments fail while wasting time, money, and energy. Not to mention how disappointing it can be to think your rodent invasion is gone, only to find more droppings and gnaw marks the following week.

Damage Rodents Cause

Rodents don’t belong in your Frisco home because of the damage and health risks they pose. They spend a good amount of their time chewing in order to keep their teeth at a certain length. This chewing, when indoors, can affect wires, insulation, drywall, wooden structures, personal items, furniture, and more. This chewing could ultimately result in larger dangers, such as fires or water leaks. Not only will rodents damage your home, but they also can contaminate food, spread diseases, and their nests give off a strong odor of urine and feces that no one wants to smell. Rodents can also bring in other pests on them, such as fleas, ticks, and mites. If you suspect a rodent infestation, it’s important to remove them immediately!

Why DIY Methods Don't Provide a Permanent Solution

If you search around you can find many DIY methods to try to get rid of rodents. Common methods are incessant cleaning, the use of mouse traps, and even adopting a cat who will hopefully catch your mice for you. Many of these are a gamble and prove to be frustrating because they do not treat the root of the problem. Mouse traps are often misunderstood and misplaced. Mice are always on alert, even while eating, so all they have to do is smell your scent on the trap and it will be avoided. Even if you catch a mouse or two, this doesn’t mean the infestation has been completely eliminated.  A cat may scare them off, or cause them to hide in more hard-to-reach places. Cleaning the house and ensuring food is not accessible to rodents also doesn’t guarantee the elimination of an infestation, either. They may still use your home for warmth and shelter.

Why Professional Help is the Most Effective Method to Get Rid of Rodents

When it comes to rodents, it’s best to leave their elimination to the professionals. It’s much more effective to hire professional pest control technicians who are trained and experienced in finding high areas of activity, as well as understanding potential entry points. Professional technicians will have the right equipment and knowledge to then remove rodents safely and prevent them from returning. That means you can say goodbye to the frustrations of handling the problem on your own!
